Two ways to open a TradeLocker demo

1. Directly with TradeLocker

Since May 2026, TradeLocker has let anyone open a demo without first signing up with a broker. According to TradeLocker's own guide, the steps are:

1. Go to tradelocker.com and choose the demo option.
2. Create a TradeLocker Profile using one of the sign-up methods.
3. You land on the platform with a $100,000 virtual balance. A DEMO badge in the bottom-left corner shows you are using virtual funds.
4. Search for an instrument, set your position size, add a stop loss and take profit, and choose Buy or Sell.

You can add further demo accounts from the account menu. To trade with real money later, you connect a broker account to your profile.

2. Through a broker such as Clarity FX

A broker demo runs on that broker's own prices, instruments and trading conditions. That makes it the better test if you are deciding whether to fund an account with that broker. Demo vs. live: what changes

• Money: demo funds are virtual. A live account needs a real deposit.
• Execution: demo fills are simulated. In live trading, slippage, spreads that widen around news and partial fills can make results differ.
• Psychology: it is easy to follow your rules when nothing is at stake. Real money changes how most people trade.
• Balance size: a $100,000 demo balance is far larger than most first live accounts. Practise with a balance close to what you actually plan to deposit.

How to get the most from a demo account

1. Set a realistic balance. If you plan to start with $500, practise risk as if you had $500.
2. Learn every order type. Place market, limit and stop orders, and move stop losses and take profits until it feels routine.
