Clarity FX, with its registered office at Ground Floor, The Sotheby Building, Rodney Village, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia (“Clarity FX”, “we”, “us”), is committed to preventing its services from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud or other financial crime. “Know Your Customer” (KYC) means verifying who our clients are and understanding the nature of their activity. This policy explains what we ask for, why, and how the process works. It should be read together with our AML Policy and Terms and Conditions.
Every person who opens a live account with Clarity FX must be verified. Accounts may only be opened by individuals who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where they live, if higher), acting on their own behalf. We do not accept clients who are residents of the United States or of jurisdictions where our services would be unlawful or that are subject to international sanctions.
Verification must be completed before any withdrawal can be processed. We may also require it before you deposit or trade, when your deposits reach certain levels, when your details change, or at any other time we consider necessary. Until verification is complete, we may limit or suspend some or all account functions.
We use Sumsub, a specialist identity verification provider, to verify clients online. The process is usually completed from your phone or computer in a few minutes and typically involves:
Documents must be in colour, show all four corners and be fully legible. We may reject documents that are expired, edited, partial or unclear.
Depending on your activity and risk profile, we may ask for further information, including:
Some clients require additional checks, for example politically exposed persons (PEPs) and their family members or close associates, clients connected with higher-risk jurisdictions, and clients whose activity is unusually large or complex. Enhanced checks may include more detailed source-of-funds evidence and senior management approval before the relationship continues.
We screen clients against international sanctions, PEP and adverse media lists when they join and on an ongoing basis. We also monitor account activity, deposits and withdrawals for behaviour that is inconsistent with what we know about you. Verification is not a one-time event; we may ask you to re-verify at any time.
We may refuse to open an account, restrict an account, delay or refuse a transaction, or close an account if:
Where the law allows, we will tell you what is needed to resolve the issue. In some cases we are legally prohibited from explaining our reasons.
Information collected for verification is used only to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, protect against fraud and manage your account. It is shared only with service providers that help us carry out these checks, such as Sumsub, and with authorities where required by law. We keep verification records for as long as the law requires, which is generally at least five years after our relationship ends. See our Privacy Policy for details of your rights.
