TradingView Indicators on TradeLocker: How to Use Them

How to add and use TradingView indicators and drawing tools on TradeLocker, which indicators beginners use most, and how to avoid cluttered charts.

In short: TradeLocker has TradingView charts built in, so you can add indicators and drawing tools from the chart toolbar and trade from the same screen. Start with two or three indicators you understand, such as moving averages, RSI and ATR, rather than filling the chart.

One of the main reasons traders choose TradeLocker is its TradingView charting. This guide shows how to add indicators, which ones are most popular and how to use them without overcomplicating your analysis.

How to add an indicator

  1. Open the chart for the instrument you want to trade.
  2. Click the indicators button in the chart toolbar.
  3. Search for the indicator by name, for example "Moving Average" or "RSI".
  4. Click it to add it, then open its settings to adjust periods, colours and levels.

To remove or hide an indicator, use the controls next to its name at the top of the chart or in its pane.

Popular indicators and what they show

Moving averages

A moving average smooths price to show the trend. Many traders watch whether price is above or below a longer average, such as the 50 or 200 period, to judge direction.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

RSI measures momentum on a 0–100 scale. Readings above 70 or below 30 are often described as overbought or oversold, though strong trends can stay there for a long time.

MACD

MACD compares two moving averages to highlight changes in momentum and possible trend shifts.

ATR (Average True Range)

ATR measures volatility. It is especially useful for setting stop-losses that give a trade enough room for normal price movement.

Bollinger Bands

Bands around a moving average that widen when volatility rises and narrow when it falls.

Drawing tools

Use horizontal lines for support and resistance, trend lines for direction, and Fibonacci retracements to mark common pullback levels. Clean, well-placed levels are often more useful than extra indicators.

Tips for better charts

  • Pick a main timeframe and check one higher timeframe for context.
  • Use no more than two or three indicators that measure different things.
  • Remember no indicator predicts the market; always pair analysis with a stop-loss. See managing risk.
