Where to find your closed trades on TradeLocker, the five things worth checking every week, and how to turn your trade history into better decisions.
In short: your TradeLocker trade history is the most honest record of how you trade. Review it once a week, look at a handful of numbers rather than individual trades, and change one thing at a time.
Most traders look at their history only after a bad day. That is the worst time to do it. A short, regular review is far more useful, because it shows patterns that a single trade never will. This guide explains where to find your history on TradeLocker and what to look for.
TradeLocker shows your open positions, pending orders and closed trades in the account panel along the bottom of the platform, on web, desktop and mobile. Closed trades list the instrument, direction, size, entry and exit prices, and the result. Use the date filter to pick the period you want to review. If you are new to the layout, start with our guide on how to use TradeLocker.
End each review with one change, not five. For example: "No trades in the Asian session next week" or "Halve size on gold." Then check next week whether it helped. Changing several things at once makes it impossible to know what worked.
Working through closed trades by hand is slow, and it is easy to skip on a busy week. A trading journal that syncs with TradeLocker does the sorting for you. Clarity Tracking, an independent partner company, imports TradeLocker trades automatically and shows win rate, profit factor, drawdown and results by session and instrument. To measure trades by risk rather than dollars, try its free R-multiple calculator.
Practise the routine risk-free. Open a free TradeLocker demo account with Clarity FX and review a week of demo trades before you go live.
Your closed trades stay in your account history, and you can filter by date. If you need a record for tax or accounting, ask your broker for an account statement.
Weekly works well for most traders. Very active traders may add a short daily check of risk and rule-breaking, with the deeper review at the weekend.
Look for patterns across at least 30 to 50 trades. A handful of trades says more about luck than about your approach.
